2012 watch parties: one on each side of the bay? Or just one big one?

What do you guys prefer?  I know that any watch parties at Crowley's will be popular among our Pinellas  county members, but many people in Tampa who already travel on game days might not want to travel for watch parties as well.

I might be wrong about this.

So what do you guys want to do?  If there is enough interest in a South Tampa area watch party, we'll be more than happy to find a spot to have those.  I think no matter what we do, the Crowley's party will be well attended so I'm not worried about diminishing that event.

I also know some people in Tampa won't mind driving over, or will if that is the only party.

So what do you all want to do?  How many people will attend a Tampa area watch party?  I need feedback on this asap as the season opener will be here soon!

As a Pinellas resident, I think it's fair to have one big watch party, and to have it in Tampa. I personally do not mind the drive.

Glad to hear plans and discussion of watch parties, since we kinda dropped the ball on that last year. The ones in 2010 were a lot of fun.

As someone who drives from Lakeland for every game, I'd prefer a Tampa location. Just like Tampa residents, I'm already driving to St. Pete a minimum of 14 times this season and as much as I like you guys, I probably won't drive over for watch parties. I certainly don't mind if our Pinellas contingent does a watch party as well. Plus watch parties in Tampa might help remind a few people who only casually follow the team that the Rowdies are still around.

Yeah, we'll be on top of it this year for sure.  The watch parties are alot of fun and we really did drop the ball last year.

Would a South Tampa spot be ok for you, Jared?

South Tampa will definitely work. Just as long as it isn't MacDintons. :-)

It won't be MacDintons , no worries :)

I say One Big Watch Party. Doesn't matter if it's in Pinellas or in Hillsborough (where I live). As Francis said, I don't mind the drive. Plus, it's best to have one big happy family together. :)

I don't disagree, but having multiple watch parties has its benefits other than just making a shorter drive for some people.  like spreading the word about the team, getting new fans etc.

Would you come to teh Tampa party if there is one?

I second that.

Since you've put it that way, I'm actually now in favor of having multiple watch parties due to the potential of advertising the Rowdies throughout the Bay Area.

Two watch parties is definately best if we can make it happen.

I vote for Tampa watch parties.  I live in Temple Terrace.

Budgie, would  you be ok with a watch party in the S. Tampa area?
