2012 watch parties: one on each side of the bay? Or just one big one?

What do you guys prefer?  I know that any watch parties at Crowley's will be popular among our Pinellas  county members, but many people in Tampa who already travel on game days might not want to travel for watch parties as well.

I might be wrong about this.

So what do you guys want to do?  If there is enough interest in a South Tampa area watch party, we'll be more than happy to find a spot to have those.  I think no matter what we do, the Crowley's party will be well attended so I'm not worried about diminishing that event.

I also know some people in Tampa won't mind driving over, or will if that is the only party.

So what do you all want to do?  How many people will attend a Tampa area watch party?  I need feedback on this asap as the season opener will be here soon!

Why not two?  One at Crowley's and the other at McDinton's, which is Tampa's soccer bar.  I think the more publicity you get the better you are.  Now you have two bars promoting the same event on different sides of the bay.  Much better than one bar on one side of the bay.

Yeah thats the right thinking, I agree.  Except it won't be at Macdintons. They've never been keen on us having watch parties there when we have approached them and alot of our members aren't too happy with 'em.

So for now we'll pick somewhere else, but probably in the same area of town.

I would prefer a watch party in Tampa in addition to the Crowley's party, but I'd end up going no matter where it is most likely (except MacDinton's).

no worries!  I'm going to talk to that new Irish pub here in Hyde Park village.  Anyone have another suggestion?

Personally I would go wherever the watch party is. I definately feel that if there i a Pinellas watch party it should be at Crowleys as they have been so supportive of the Mob and are now an official sponsor.  Maybe the attendees can meet up about two hours before and canvas the area around downtown with small info flyers about the watch party with a season schedule and ticket price info on the backside.  If in Tampa then I say to rotate the location to get as much exposure for the team, the Mob and maybe some of the establishments will put up Rowdies/Mob posters if they sponsor a watch party.

I like the idea of passing out fliers/info. Would need dedicated volunteers for that.

TAMPA

As a Downtown St. Pete resident, since we already have the games here I wouldnt mind going to tampa for a watch party. On a side note, has anyone been to the new MacDinton's in st pete? It's just as douchy as the S.Tampa one haha. But from what I gather they already are a business partner with the Rowdies.

but yea i dont care where the watch parties are, as long as i can get a decent beer on tap that isnt served to me in a plastic cup....

Sounds good, obviously if we have two watch parties anyone is more than welcome to attend whichever one they want.  Just as long as people go to them!
