The first meeting of the 2012 Coastal Cup is this Saturday, April 28th when the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers come to town looking to once again get dominated by the Rowdies.
We have not lost to the Strikers in regular season play over the past two seasons and hopefully we keep that streak going with a win on Saturday. The Mob needs to be in full voice and that means we need you all to be there! If any game was to have mandatory attendance, it'd be these matches against our biggest rivals. So do whatever it takes to make it to Al Lang and bring along anyone and everyone you can think of.
The two teams are tied on points with 5 each, but the Strikers currently have a game in hand and have not yet lost this season.
With Shane Hill out of the lineup due to injury (apparently), the team had some changes to the lineup against Atlanta with Matt Clare starting up top and Mullholland dropping a little deeper into the midfield. We should probably expect a very similar look on Saturday.
What does everyone think? Predictions? Lineup preferences? Let's hear it!

I made it a personal goal for me to bring about 5 people to every home game for the 2012 season. My friends have brought their friends, my brother brought his friends and my father has brought his friends. And the cycle continues. I agree with you on this is how it is really going to work. Word of mouth. It is the best advertising in the world.
Permalink Reply by Aron Retkes on May 1, 2012 at 3:44pm BTW im working on tracking down the flag that was snatched from the strikers to return it on our trip down there. talk about horrible timing for that to happen..... eh.
Permalink Reply by Jeff Thompson on May 1, 2012 at 4:28pm I saw security take the flag and give it back to them.
Permalink Reply by Joel Beatty on May 1, 2012 at 5:48pm Good, especially since a Mob flag went missing in Atlanta. Some rivalry stuff doesn't need to happen
