Bears for Burda - Teddy Bear Drive

Please join the Ralph's Mob pre-match festivities on Saturday, September 5th for our 2nd Annual Teddy Bear Drive in memory of our dear friend Lizzie Burda. Lizzie started this charity effort more than a decade ago to donate stuffed animals to the Tampa Police Department for children that officers see in need of comfort.

Please bring new/gently used teddy bears or stuffed animals to our tailgate in the Al Lang Stadium Parking Lot prior to the match vs Brooklyn. You'll find us selling merch and receiving donations from 4:30-7pm in the lot's NW Corner!

...In 1975 Lizzie Burda was charged with heading up the fan club for Tampa Bay’s first professional sports franchise, a soccer club in the NASL, our own Tampa Bay Rowdies. Her impact was felt immediately amongst the players and fans. Lizzie's lifelong commitment to the team was recognized on her 90th birthday, a customized number 90 jersey presentation happened at mid-field during halftime as the stadium sang Happy Birthday. She was also posthumously honored during the inaugural 2025 Tampa Bay Soccer Hall of Fame with the Passion Award.
